Dundee manager Gary Bowyer has confirmed he has spoken to Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson about possible loan deals amid links with Ibrox midfielder Ben Williamson.
Williamson is reportedly set to join the Dens Park side on loan and the new Dundee boss has admitted he is ‘knowing’ about the Scotland Under-21 international.
Having previously worked with Stephen Kelly while on loan, Bowyer has a ‘decent relationship’ with Rangers loan manager Billy Kirkwood.
“We have been linked with him and I know him. I worked with Stephen Kelly at Salford so I know about it,” Bowyer said [Glasgow Live]. I did my homework on the players. I have a decent relationship with Billy Kirkwood.
“I spoke to Ross Wilson to find out who is available and what can be done. He will definitely go on the list.
Williamson loan makes sense after disappointing campaign last season
