Omari Hardwick once spoke out about 50 Cent’s online jokes about her

Power Actor Omari Hardwick has always expressed his gratitude to 50 Cent for giving him the opportunity of a lifetime. The music mogul played a huge role in Hardwick’s cast as Ghost on the entertaining Starz TV series. As many know, 50 Cent also loves to entertain by joking frequently using his social media platform.

But some have questioned whether Hardwick took 50 Cent’s humor personally when directed at him. Eventually, Hardwick had to respond.

Power Executive producers 50 Cent and Courtney Kempt were on the same page when it came to casting Hardwick as the Ghost. But it was Hardwick himself who initially had reservations about the lead role because he was scared. It was a fear, however, that Hardwick was determined to overcome.

“I feared him for several reasons. In the end I had to look in the mirror and put it on myself and say I think I was really scared to grab that big ass mountain and put it on my shoulders and be ‘the guy'”, he once said on the fat joe show (Going through The Jasmine brand).

Hardwick at the time was more comfortable playing supporting characters who stole the show than the lead role.

But in the end, it was Hardwick’s wife who gave him the courage to take on the lead role.

“To finish, [my wife, Jae Pfautch] was like ‘God, please allow this man… to embrace his power.’ She used that word brother, and I didn’t even know the title of the show yet,” he said.

Ever the entertainer, 50 Cent constantly uses his social media profiles to joke around with others. At times, that got the rapper in hot water with fans and the media. Sometimes he even laughed at himself Power cast as Hardwick.

But the Spell 50 Cent’s humor didn’t bother the star. And he insisted it was part of their friendship.

“If you’re high like Omari or 50, then you’re going to challenge yourself,” he once said. ABC News. “Obviously he challenges people. And as you know, Omari isn’t afraid to go after people on Instagram either. So sometimes I reach out and say, ‘Five, why are you doing this?’ And he explains to me why he did that. Which means he respects me enough to give me an explanation, because he really could ignore. And he doesn’t.

Despite the beatings, Hardwick expressed his utmost loyalty to 50 Cent for throwing him into Power in the first place.

“You’re going to have a different level of respect for each other when, when each kind of allows themselves to be that thing,” he added. “The fun man of the 50s. Ultimately, he’s a fun, super-smart cat, who again – and I’ve said it – he changed my life.

Hardwick and 50 Cent are close enough that the “In Da Club” hitmaker even helped Hardwick financially when he needed it. But Hardwick didn’t take that help for granted and stayed true to his word by reimbursing the rapper.

“He loaned me a summer, like, 20 Gs. He said, “I can’t fuck off my number one,” Hardwick once explained on the Angie Martinez Show.

Not only did Hardwick repay 50 cents, but he did so with interest. Something he always considered the honorable thing to do when taking out a loan.

“When we are loaned money, you cannot return the same amount of money that was loaned to you. Because that person’s money could have made money,” he said.
